A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Obidike Chukwuebuka, has stated that the suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara should be grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for saving him from impeachment.

According to him, Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State saved Fubara from the shame.

Chukwuebuka stated this while reacting to President Tinubu announcement on Wednesday.

“While details of the alleged impeachment threat are scarce, President Tinubu’s involvement has significantly shaped Rivers State’s political landscape.

“His commitment to promoting peace and stability was evident in a recent meeting with Governor Fubara and stakeholders, emphasizing unity and cooperation.

“As the situation unfolds, Governor Fubara’s fate remains closely tied to President Tinubu’s influence. With potential far-reaching implications for the state’s politics,” he said.

Recall that the State of emergency declaration and suspension of Governor Fubara has generated debates among opinion leaders across the country.
