The Abia State Government has released the list of successfully qualified candidates for 2025 teachers recruitment exercise.
This was contained in statement signed by the Recruitment Committee for the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Elder Goodluck Ubochi.
AUbochi stated that candidates who applied for the recruitment exercise are to check their SMS or email notifications from 26/2/2025. The Committee would be using their phone number and email address provided during registration to dispatch their results.
The Committee also urged them to login into the recruitment portal www.mobse.abiastate.com to verify their status.
According to the release, applicants with NCE qualification will be posted to Primary Schools. There, they will be tested in English Studies, Mathematics and General Studies.
While candidates with Degree qualification will be posted to Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in the State. There, they will be tested in English Studies Language, Mathematics, their selected areas of specialization and one elective subject.
The release noted that the Computer Based Test, CBT exams will hold on 5th and 6th March 2025. While the shortlisted candidates must print their exam photo-cards, 48 hours before the exam date. The slip will indicate the designated CBT Centre batch and exam date.
Ubochi noted that cut off marks for examination will be set based on performance of the candidates. While those who exceed the threshold will proceed to an oral interview.
Successful Candidates from the oral interview stage, will move to the certificate verification process.
He added that candidates with inconsistent records will be disqualified at the verification stage.
“They, however, would be replaced by the next best ranked candidates,” he concluded.
