The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has boasted that nothing will stand in his way if he decides to seek a reelection in 2027.

This is even as he said that his victory in the 2027 governorship election is assured if he decides to seek a second term.

The Governor made the remark on Tuesday while receiving a delegation of traditional rulers and leaders from the three Local Government Areas. The leaders were from the Kalabari Ethnic Nationality in Rivers State.

The delegation after brief introduction endorsed the Governor Fubara for re-election in 2027. They praised his leadership qualities and dedication to infrastructural development in the State. The noted the particular instance of the ₦200 billion Trans-Kalabari Road Project, which is currently under construction.

Responding, Governor Fubara reiterated that his administration remains committed to delivering tangible progress for the people of Rivers State.

On the request to seek a reelection, the Governor emphasized that impact and service matter more than the length of time spent in office.

Recall that the Rivers State Governor has since assumption of office in 2023, has been having a running battle with his predecessor. Nyesom Wike.
