All have not heard of the killing that took place in Ahaba Imenyi Isuikwuato Area of Abia State on February 6, 2025. This is even as new revealing and implicating facts are beginning to emerge on the killing of Ejike Egwundu by two brothers, Chinedu and David Okechukwu.
According to eyewitnesses, the wife of Chinedu Okechukwu, one of the alleged murderers, played a pivotal role in the killing.
Neighborhood sources claim that on the scene of the murder, Chinedu’s wife was heard shouting “gbuo ya” (“kill him”). She was also said to have pushed her husband and his brother, David Okechukwu, towards the victim. That was before they killed Egwundu.
The revelation of the Chinedu’s wife action in the killing has opened a different dimension to the case.
Also, it has been disclosed that angry youths of the community who stormed the house of the suspects discovered a plethora of charms. They were said to have also discovered occult items in the living rooms of the suspects.
According to our source, the items discovered included a bottle of Lord Dry Gin containing a live snake and roots. As well as several calabashes containing charms.
The source added that investigations are ongoing by the community to determine the significance of these items in relation to the murder. This is even as community leaders in the area have condemned the killing. They called for swift justice for the murdered victim and an end to violence in the community.
As the investigation continues, residents are urged to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities.
The Police Command in Isuikwuato have not issued any statement to the development by the time of this report.
