The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi, has urged Nigerian leaders to work towards easing the sufferings Nigerians are going through.
Kumuyi made the call during a press briefing ahead of the Global December Retreat and Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK).
Speaking on the theme “Power for Present Possession,” the cleric called on those in authority to fulfill their promises. This is even as he urged them to improve the lives of Nigerians.
The crusade is scheduled to hold from December 20 to December 25, 2024. The venue for this year’s event is at the Deeper Life International Campground in Mowe, Ogun State.
Pastor Kumuyi assured participants of miraculous transformations during the retreat, citing biblical examples of divine intervention in difficult times.
He also expressed optimism that Nigerians relying on God would experience greatness in the coming year.
Addressing the nation’s youth, Kumuyi highlighted God’s purpose for their lives. He, however, encouraged the youths to engage in the “Impact Programme,” a platform designed to empower young people and prepare them for future success.
The pastor also emphasized the program’s inclusiveness, catering to all demographics.
On the political emancipation of the country, Kumuyi called on Christians to actively participate in politics. He contended that righteous leadership is essential for national prosperity.
“When upright individuals lead, society enjoys peace and progress,” the cleric said.
Kumuyi reaffirmed God’s enduring plan for the global Church, declaring that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. He praised the use of technology in spreading the gospel, ensuring its reach worldwide.
The cleric noted that the December retreat and crusade promise spiritual empowerment and renewal. He stated that programme will reinforce the peoples’ hope and faith in a brighter future for Nigeria.
