Former US President and Republican Party presidential candidate in the November US election, Donald Trump has survived another ‘assassination attempt’ under one election year.

The is even as authorities in California have confirmed the arrest of a man in possession of illegal firearms. The man was arrested shortly before a rally held by former President Donald Trump on Saturday.

The latest attempt makes it the third under one election year by a US presidential candidate.

According to report, at approximately 5 pm, deputies stationed at a security checkpoint near the intersection of Avenue 52 and Celebration Drive in Coachella Valley stopped a black SUV.

“Upon investigation, the driver, identified as Vem Miller, a 49-year-old resident of Las Vegas, was found to be carrying a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine, all in violation of the law.

“Miller was taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing,” the report stated.

According to a report published on Sky News quoted Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco to confirm  the incident. He told newsmen on Sunday his deputies probably “stopped the third assassination attempt”.

Sheriff Bianco said his deputies became suspicious when the man approached the perimeter.

“There were many irregularities that popped up,” said Sheriff Bianco at a press conference on Sunday.

His officers “noticed the interior of the vehicle was in disarray and had an obviously fake license plate”.
