Unidentified gunmen have abducted two nurses and an unspecified number of patients from a Primary Healthcare Centre at Kuyallo, eastern part of Birnin-Gwari LGA of Kaduna State.   suspected to be bandits in their large numbers have kidnapped

According to reports, the bandits were said to have targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School, at 9:00 am on Monday. However, upon finding the school empty, they stormed the closest health centre, where they abducted the two nurses and others.

According a leader of a local vigilante group in the area, Musa Alhassan, the bandits, who were seeking to abduct students, instead took two female nurses and several patients hostage. The abduction, however, left the community in a state of panic.

Alhanssan said, “The bandits came to the school around 9:00 am, asking about the students. But when they found out the school was empty, they went to the healthcare centre and started kidnapping people.

“The exact number of patients kidnapped is still unknown.”

Also, an eyewitness further revealed that the bandits came into the healthcare centre wielding guns and machetes. They also dragged people out of the hospital and took them hostage.

Recall that bandits had attacked a community in Kaduna State last week Friday.

Today’s incident is the latest in a series of attacks by bandits in Kaduna State.

There is no official statement yet on the incident from the Kaduna State Government.
