The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has arrested a woman identified as Rahimat Salaum for allegedly killing her paralyzed husband and burning him in an uncompleted building. The woman was arrested in the Pegi area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This was disclosed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Tuesday. She said the woman was arrested by operatives of the Command attached to Pegi Police Division on Monday.

According to Adeh, Salaum was attempting to flee with the belongings after committing the crime before she was arrested.

“Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to killing her husband. She stated that the incident happened after she had a fight with her paralyzed husband.

Salaum subsequently led the police operatives to an uncompleted building where she had dumped the gruesomely burned body.

Speaking on the incident, the Command’s spokesperson stated that investigation is ongoing.

She said, “While investigation is still ongoing, the Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, wishes to affirm that justice will be served in the matter. This is even as he urged residents to be wary of their environment.
