The former US President and Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump has waved off the announcement of Vice President Kamala Harris as the replacement for President Joe Biden for the November election.
Reacting to Harris entry into the presidential race, Trump said, she would lot easier to defeat than Biden.
Recall that President Biden and Democratic Party candidate for the November was forced to step aside from the race. Though he had insisted that he was not going to step aside, he, on Sunday announced his Vice, Harris as a replacement.
Biden had bowed to pressure and dropped out of the race following age and health concerns.
Following his decision, Biden had endorsed his Vice President to emerge as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.
Accepting her nomination on Sunday, Harris vowed to defeat Trump during the election in November.
Reacting to Biden’s withdrawal from the race, Trump in a phone call with CNN, said: “He is the worst President in the history of our country. He goes down as the single worst President by far in the history of our country.
“While it’s unclear who the Democratic nominee will be, I think VP Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden would have been.”
