The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command on Wednesday arrested a man with human body parts in Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe. of the FCT.
The man identified as Nuhu Ezra was nabbed with a human skull and bones by men of the Nigeria police.
This was contained in a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh.
She disclosed the arrest in a statement she issued and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
She stated that the suspect was arrested on Tuesday by operatives of the Command attached to the Iddo Police Division. The arrest was made following a credible intelligence gathering in the area.
Adeh stated that upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime.
According to the statement, the suspect stated that he picked up the body parts from the bush while hunting at Kuje. He, however, admitted of having the intention to sell them for N600,000.
The PPRO informed that the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh has ordered a thorough investigation into the case.
This, he said, is to ascertain the bearer of the body parts and the intended buyer.
And also, to ascertain if the suspect “killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts. Also to know how long the suspect has been in the alleged business
“The CP, therefore, urged residents in the FCT to be wary of their environment. He stated that they should always report suspicious activities to the police.
