A Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Buba Galadima, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to get involved in the politics of Kano State. This is even as the State is enmeshed in Emirship tussle.
Galadima was speaking on the heels of the lingering Emirship crisis in the State. He warned that Kano politics would destroy Tinubu’s Presidency if he ventured into it. He, therefore, warned that Tinubu should stay away.
The NNPP chieftain faulted the Federal Government’s support for one group over another in Kano’s politics. He stated that chieftaincy titles should not be influenced by Federal authorities.
Galadinma, therefore, emphasized the resilience and determination of Kano’s people in determining their fate.
The NNPP Chieftain made this disclosure while answering questions on Arise Television.
He said: “The Federal Government and President Bola Tinubu need to be cautious with Kano politics. It will destroy his presidency.
“I want to tell the Federal Government, including my friend, President Bola Tinubu, that he should be mindful of Kano politics. It will destroy his presidency.
“They never agree on any issue. And I have an inherent knowledge of how we dealt with the issue of Kano politics during the NPN, when I was the youth leader.
“I know some very powerful politicians in Kano, including some rich men who came to meet the President. That they should remove Abba Yusuf, and nothing will happen.
“The man I know should be smarter than what he is by saying that nothing will happen. And I ask them how it happened that you didn’t win the election in the first place.”
Recall that there has been political tension in Kano State over the dethronement of the Kano State Emirate Councils.
The Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf had dethroned Aminu Ado Bayero as Emir of Kano. In his place, the Governor reinstated the former deposed Emir, Muhammed Lamido Sanusi.
