The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Yusuf Adenoyin, who was allegedly caught in possession of eight dry human skulls. Fresh human flesh was also alleged to have been seen with him.
This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson of the Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya. He noted that incident occurred at Isua-Akoko in Akoko Southwest Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to the statement, the suspect was arrested when some officers of the Command attached to the Police Safer Highway Patrol at the Isua-Epinmi checkpoint were on duty.
The statement read: “While the vehicle was being searched, one of the passengers took to his heels. And the police pursued and arrested him. He was searched and eight dry human skulls, fresh human flesh, and charms were found. The items were wrapped in a polythene bag concealed in a garri sack that the suspect was travelling with.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect, Yusuf Adenoyin, 31, stated that he was going to supply the items to herbalists.”
“The suspect, also, reportedly confessed to having supplied seven human skulls before he was arrested.
SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya further stated that an investigation has been launched to apprehend his accomplices.
