Insecurity heightened in Plateau State on Monday, as a yet-to-be identified young man strapped with explosives was reportedly caught in a bank premises in the State. According to report, the man was allegedly trying to plant a bomb within the bank premises.

DAILY POST account revealed that the incident occurred when the suspect was found with Person Borne Improvised Explosive Device, SPBIED. The explosives were strapped to his body when he entered a bank premises in Dadin Kowa town, Jos South.

The post was made available by a security analyst, Zagazola Makama via his official X handle on Tuesday.  He, however, stated that the vigilante security at the bank prevented the attack when they spotted the suspect.

“The suspect was later surrounded by an angry mob who demanded that he be killed immediately.

The post, however, did not state whether the suspect has ties to any terrorist organization in the country.

Makama further added that the suspect has been taken to the police station for further investigation.

Recall that Plateau State has continued to be on the news for killings and burning of communities caused by clashes between the indigenes and Fulani settlers.
