Jose Mourinho has disclosed his dream to come for a second missionary journey to Manchester United Football Club as coach.

But according to the Manchester Evening News, the Club does not want to reappoint the Portuguese.

It was reported that Mourinho, 61 years, had told confidants that he would “walk” to Manchester to manage United for a second time.

Recall that the controversial sweat merchant was sacked by the club in December 2018.

Mourinho was also sacked by Roma in January, after two-and-a-half years in charge.

Report stated that Mourinho is a friend of Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. But the two-time Champions League winner is not expecting an approach from his former club.

Mourinho’s reported interest in the Man Utd job comes after the Red Devils humiliating 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace on Monday.

The result reflects the poor run of form by the Man United in this season. The Erik ten Hag’s side is now eighth in the Premier League table.

With just two matches left to end the season, the Man United would miss European competitions: European Champions League and Europa League next season.

Recall that Mourinho became Man Utd boss in May 2016 and won the Europa League and League Cup in his two-and-a-half years in the job.

The flamboyant coach had also had stints with England team after aside of his Man United job.

Mourinho became popular as Chelsea boss, where he won many trophies including the UCL. But his stay at Tottenham did not produce any trophy.

He later went to Italy, where he coached Roma FC. Mourinho successfully won the Europa Conference League with the Italian side in 2022.
